My dad is still right

I ran out of gas on the opposite corner of my property from the gas can today. My dad said that always happens. He has been gone more than two years and is still right.

I have the same problem with my Mule. Whenever I'm on it it seems to run out of gas as far from the tool shed as I can get. Weird thing is, I haven't run it much in the past few weeks. Everyone else in the family has, but I'm the only one who puts gas in it. Maybe they think I'm the only one ALLOWED to put gas in it. But, it seems that it always runs out when I use it.....

You are the only one that needs gas if you are the only one that runs out. Everyone else checks the gas before they use it. You should wake up and listen to your Dad.

Dad had a saying "what you haven't got in your head, you have in your feet! You can walk and go get it!" Meant if you can't remember things you can walk for them.

Was out in the far field, rushing to collect the last few bales last night - in the rain....
Had a wet half mile hike back to the barn. Of course, had left cell phone at the house in case a shower came up, BT-DT. Got the wet shirt to prove it.

I seem to run out of gas or break down back on the ridge. Its almost a must.

I was spraying with the JD2550 looked down saw the fuel gauge still bouncing. I was just about done with the tank so I should be able to finish it and run for fuel and sprayer refill. Back by the woods it said no way and I had to walk.....

When I had the S-10 pickup I ran out of gas five times that I can remember, and the gas gauge worked just fine. The gauge was right in front of me but do you think I'd look at it? About the third time it happened I was walking home and someone stopped to give me a lift. I told him thanks but if I have to walk I might remember to look at the gauge more often. It happened a couple of more times after that. The last time it happened I was about a half mile from Sioux Rapids. It was downhill into town so I coasted into town and right up to the pump at Caseys. Jim

I was driving home from Fl one year in a Chevy Astro van. I looked at the gauge and said we gas soon. Then proceeded to forget about it until the engine started chugging. Just happened to be at an exit and coasted all the way to the gas station pump. Talk about lucky that time wheeeewwww!
