OT: Any painters here?

I have an all metal 35 x 40 Alcoa barn which was primed & painted several years ago. Now a small section (6 x 10 or so) is peeling off. I have scraped off all the loose down to bare galvanized metal.
What do I use to clean and prep the bare metal to hold primer and paint? Power washing is not an option. No water. Thanks

You can spray on zinc oxide or you can just wipe down with ammonia to prep the galvanized medal. Sounds like the medal wasn't properly prepped prior to painting or maybe a small area was missed

Since you don't have water, I would clean it as good as you can and prime it with a zinc chromate primer or if you want better, use Dupont Variprime primer.
