Rear drum brake question

I haven't done drum brakes on a pickup for a coon's age but now I'm in the middle of a rear brake job on my 98 Dodge 3500 with 13" brakes. One of the new shoes in the set has a thicker lining. Where does this shoe go, front of the axle or or rear. Parking brake shoe or not? The Haynes manual I have is very detailed about disassembly and reassembly and it talks about primary and secondary shoe but there's one detail it leaves out, and that detail is which one is the THICK one and which one is the THIN ONE! Details of why I have this thing apart in the first place will come later. I'm a little hot under the collar about it!! Jim

The most pressure is applied to the Rear side, due to the "Servo-Action" on the linings..

Put the thicker one on the Rear side..

Ron..

Thank you for the prompt replies. I kind of figured that might be the way just by looking at the direction of rotation but it seems like a lot of things that make sense to me aren't necessarily right. Jim
