Holiday photos from Spain

My wife and I go to the islands of either Mallorca or Minorca in the mediterranean at this time of year. I took some pics which you may find interesting. the first 2 are of a massey ferguson fitted with a combine attachement, about 6 feet cut, discharging into sacks. The last 2 are of a combine which may be spanish, 2 metre header, and again, discharging into sacks. Both machines still in regular work. The tractor is a little more amusing. It is a Lamborghini, made by the same company who make fast cars. I saw it parked outside a small cafe, the operator was just going in but moved it for me to get a better picture. I got the picture and went in to thank him ( I do not speak any Spanish). He was halfway down a measure of gin ( on Minorca, a measure is 1/4 of a pint). I bought him another measure as a thankyou and beat it before he got back behind the wheel. Phil

Phil thank you for sharing those interesting pictures. Round baler fairly similar that is out near my farm. What were they harvesting with the other machines?

I am not enough of a farmer to know what crops were being harvested, but both Mallorca and Minorca are dairy country, so whatever you would use as feed. Both islands have lots of very fine horses also, so maybe feed for them. Sorry to be so vague, I was a truck driver until I retired. Phil

Phil the tractor with the wrap-around combine is an interesting one in that it looks at first appearance to be a massey Ferguson but it is indeed a Fordson Major built by the Spanish Ebro company who did at one time build Fordson Majors under license from Ford. When this license dropped they had a tie-up to bild Massey Ferguson 135 and 165s and then this ba*tard thing appeared as an Ebro 155.
I think the combine is a JF built in Denmark.
