Ceiling Fan continuous running record

Was noticing my three ceiling fans this morning and realized they have been running continuously for 24 years only stopping for an hour or so during power outages. They all run smooth and strong after all these years. Anyone else have fans running longer?

This isnt exactly on your topic butttttttttt

I have a Bryant Heat Pump thats had BOTH winter and summer hard and long use and ITS STILL WORKING FINE AFTER 33 YEARS, hey thats no pushover. I had another newer so called higher efficiency Bryant unit installed AND IT CRASHED N BURNED AFTER ONLY A FEW YEARS grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Gotta love them old early antique lookin refrigerators with the round cooling units mounted on top SOME OF WHICH STILL RUN. Seems to me the WORST enemy of refrigerators (other then dust n dirt) is shutitng them off extended periods or moving them around too much.

I had an olddddddd HEAVY HUGE HUGE repulsion start induction run (lifting brushes) AC Motor that was older then the hills that still worked.

The "first wife" still works pretty good and shes no spring chicken........

Personally, "....Im not as good as I once was, but Im as good once as I ever was......."

I have one of those old repulsion start/induction run motors on a 1927 Curtis air compressor..........had to replace the brushes once about 20 years ago, but it still works all the time every time. Those old Hunters that the user had to fill the oil reservoir on will run, so it seems, forever. Sometimes they get a little oily on the outside, but keep on running. No "lubricated for life" bearings in those. P.S. they mean for life of bearing (as short as that may be), not your life!

We have a Hunter fan that has been in around maybe 30 years. Ours runs about 90% of the time all year round. The only time it is shut down is when we go away or to clean it.

i have two ge and two hunter fans out of the 30"s
they just need a little oil from time to time plus
they weigh about 65lbs each

Why do you run them 24/7. I realize air circulation, but I suppose you aren't in the shop 24/7 or in the house 24/7. I try to minimize my electric bill even though I'm sure it is only cost a few pennies a day to keep them spinning, but the pennies add up.

I installed two in the living quarters, and two in the shop when I built in 2000. Total time on all four is perhaps 100 hours. Is that a record for shortest?

i hauled this one about 950 miles when i got home i let it set 24 hours plugged it in and been cooling ever since

The one in my daughters room ran almost continuous for about 12 yrs the same direction. One winter I decided to switch directions. It wouldn't start up and never ran again?!!
