AC 185 lift problem

I have a Allis Chalmers 185, when I start the tractor the lift arms will raise all the way up, without touching any levers. I"ve checked the fluid levels, and their ok. Any ideas?

Draft control lever is all the way up or something simple. If you let the lift down does everthing not work alright?

The draft control lever is working right.When I go to let the lift down, it wont move.

The position control valve is probably stuck..make sure it moves when you move the lever.

From your description, i would bet that your Traction Booster linkage is frozen or sticking. This happened to my AC 175 a few years back after a number of years of non-use. The pivot point just below the springs was stiff and the rod was difficult to move..actually frozen./
