have any of you set up a trailer brake controler so its movable from vehicle to vehicle, im thinking about trying it using say a 4 pin flat connector, i have 5 trucks all older models, some do have trailer brakes already some dont, on the ones that dont im thinking the trucks could be wired to a 4 pin flat in the cab with a bracket for the controler ,the controler itself could then be placed in whatever truck was needed to pull the trailer needed for the job [ i have numerous trailers too, pro's cons??

I use a tekonsha (sp?) that is moveable, works well. I really like the features it has. I use it on my 30ft dual tandem I use for hauling the 1066 around.

If you buy a Hayes controller,a brand I have sold and intalled for over 30 years, they have a plug in harness. You can buy a harness for each truck,$15.00 each and fab a bracket that would clamp to the dash and you would be good to go.
