Identify the seat?

Can anyone tell me what this seat come off of? I want to buy a seat cover.

The cushion for a farmall C is a little large. Seat doesn't give you a split personality like most bike seats do. Feels nice to sit on and peddle. There is hints of red on the seat. More rust than red.

Thanks,
George

I've got a seat very similar to yours hanging up out in the shop. Mine WAS on an H that I bought, but had been jerry-rigged to make it fit. Most likely those seats came off of some sort of horse-drawn machinery. I don't think they were ever on a tractor.

That looks exactly like the seat on an old buck rake (of unknown heritage) I played on as a kid- even down to the "tic-tac-toe" pattern in the center around the mounting bolt.

I agree its an implement seat- tractor seats were larger and more heavily constructed- and I can't remember seeing one with the holes.

George,

Looks a 26 hole IHC pan-seat from a Regular or F20 (but I cannot see all the holes to count accurately).

Sweetfoot,
The seat does have 26 holes, 2 rows of 13. It measures from front to back 13 inches and at it's widest point 18 inches.

SO, I already know my IH C seat cover is too large. Is there another tractor that has a smaller seat?

I have a Jubilee with a seat cover. I'll see how it fits tomorrow.

I sure like the way this seat feels.

I have several took some off myself, but didn't keep track of what. Going to have a sale some day. Got a lot of steel wheels too.

George,

Just went and measured the seat on our Regular...same dimensions and holes as your seat and same cross hatch where you fasten it to the tractor.

Here is a pic & reference to the IHC tractor seats from a Farmall book on the F Series.
