CASE Gasoline/Kerosene Power Unit

My father-in-law has an old Case power unit for a saw mill. It apparently starts on gasoline then can switch to Kerosene. The fuel tank has two compartments. Needs Intake-Exhaust manifold. Anyone here recall anything like this? Any chance of getting a better ID? He has a serial number from the engine 5109534DE

Thanks,

Go to the case board and ask there, many people there will know. I would say that it is a 1948 model D stationary engine. We'll see if I'm right. There were a few of those around.

I"ve had Model C, and Model L case tractors,
both had dual tanks, and started on gas and
switched over to Kerosene. I"ve also owned a
model DC, engine was basically the same as the C
parts were interchangeable.
Old tractor junkyards should have manifolds.

By the serial number, it will be a 1947 Case DE power unit. Engine parts from a DC will interchange.

And like someone said, for parts, contact Don Livingston, Austin, MN (507) 433-0073 Best to call him in the morning. Great guy to deal with, and stands by what he sells.
