Adding front weight

On a Farmall H, I noticed 2 holes, drilled and tapped in the frame up near the front. My suspicion is these are factory since I see bits of red paint still in there. Anybody happen to know the thread size? I figure I can use these to fabricate a weight box of some sort. TIA

Iif it's the ones I;m thnking about, good luck. I tried to find bolts to fit my 'H', but it seems the interior threads were so worn out from loose cultivator tools [??] nothing would fit.

Those are 5/8 coarse threads. Used with the H-M 221,238,240,and 250 cultivators. An annual spring job, mounting those cultivators! Real finger pinchers. There also was a shortline built front hitch attachment using those same mounting holes.

I don't remember what size bolt it is, but I went to rural king, bought 2 bolts and 2 clevises, bolt them to my IH C front end. Use the clevis to attach a chain to strap tractor on trailer.

I know they are course threads and easy to find at rural king.

Run a tap through them before bolting, The paint and rust can seize a bolt and make it a bad day.
Remember our recommendation to use a log skidder to prevent injury. Easy to make from a mid 80s GM car with a twist beam axle on the rear. Cut a section out of the middle and re weld it into a loop going up instead of forward. A 3X3 square tube hitch and a brace and there it is. JIm
