e-brake on a gator

Not sure what you are asking. On my 633 the linkage for both the shifter and breaks tends to hang up a little if I don't use the machine often
I tip the body up and spray r favorite lube. Also check, and make sure the shift linkage is not loose.

I am looking at a for-sale ad.

The guy spent some money replacing seats and body plastic but the electric dump is tired and the e-brakes don"t work so he uses a chock-block.

Even tired gators command serious money so I am trying to determine if this is worth looking at.

So is the e-brake a manual brake (cable or pedal) or part of the tranny somehow (and more money to fix)?

Thanks,
Bill

Mine has hyd. breaks. It looks like the e-break should just lock the pressure after you step on the break pedal Should be an easy fix.
I think I say that ad on CL - seems like a fair price with all the work they have done to it.
I would offer a little less "Cash" and go from there.

Bill,
My daddy always said John Deere was painted green, because green is the color of money.

Take a look at kawasaki, red is cheaper. Don"t gators use the kawasaki engine too? I looked at a used 5 year old gator last night on craigslist and it was the same money that I paid for a new 2012 mule 4010 after the 2013 came out.

Gators do command a higher price. I love my 48 in JD lawn mower and tiller. It has a 17 hp kawasaki engine. So I like JD green. I spent 6 months looking for a used gator and finally decided on a new Mule.

Might be the same one. There is no contact info in the ad, it clicked the 'tell him' button but no update yet.

I have seen some junk in that price range but this one might work out.

My son has his sights on nothing else but a green 6x4.
