Why is it that a new set of Firestone 18.4x38 radials are cheaper than a barrel of diesel fuel?

Somptin' really stinks. :>(

I ask COOP last summer what a new one would cost. Said right about $1200.00 a tire. Diesel is right around $4.00 this year.

You need to tell us how many gallons the diesel barrel holds. Then we can make a better comparison.

With road tax 3.67 here. I have a 300U in the shop that has more tires on it than the tractor is worth.

YEah... just you be glad something in the equation is half cheap. Around here there tires would be more money and not because the fuel was cheap...
