OT: close call with tornado

A small tornado went across our place today. My son and his daughter saw it and grabbed a mattress and got under it. I was not home at the time. Took trees down 200 feet from our house and blocked our 1/4 mile driveway. It was on the ground about 1/3 mile before it hit us. It was headed straight for an equipment shed about 200 feet away where my Model T was sitting on a trailer and did not hurt it a bit. We are very fortunate that nothing was hit but trees. Friends and family showed up with saws and loader and cleared the driveway.

Wow! Noone on any of the local news channels has said anything about it on that side of the state except for one possibly touching down in Piedmont. Glad you and yours OK!!!

Glad nobody got hurt. I'm thinking that had to be pretty scary sounding for your son and granddaughter!
 
Yep, it was very scary for the grandaughter. The unusual part is her younger sister asked my son that morning "Daddy, are we going to have a tornado today?"
They had seen all the news about the storms in OK.
I told my son to let me know if she asked anything like that again.
