OT: repairing air pistol

I had this BB gun pistol for years,bought it off of a kid on my school bus route, he needed money for FFA class. Paid a whole $10.00 for it. It leaked air out of the 8g CO2 cylinder. After two tries to get it sealed off, new o-rings didnt help, so with further examination, discovered the air valve was bad worn on one side not allowing the cylinder to ride flush. Fixed the problem with a small flat seal made from a tire patch,that had a self adhesive on the back. Two days later,no leaks,and fires great. Another toy to help study old shaking hands. Can learn now not to flinch and squeeze of a round prematurely from the 44 mag,PPK/s, 1911 SA 45. Now this means a 78 yr old man can learn new tricks. Thought you might enjoy the solution to problems with flinching.

I'm 69 5/12's Ha Ha. Always shot a lot, but haven't for a few years. Went out the other day with my wife's 38 Lady Smith. Where in the hell did this Shaking and flinching come from? Gotta get out more. The Bad guys have a chance right now.
 
Glad you got it fixed. I have a RWS match air pistol that's a whole bunch more accurate that I ever was or will evr be. After about 15 years it got to where it just didn't work right. I sent it in to them and the rebuilt it for about half new cost and it's back just like new. Know what you mean about the flinching, shaking, etc. I got a Kel-Tec .380 last spring and it showed me how bad I needed practice. Guess I got to dig out the old air pistol again.

Ohhhhhhhh Noooooooo!!! Now you gotta call the cops on yourself and the kid. Go to the nearest phone, dial 9-1-1 and turn yourselves in. If anyone at the NSA, Homeland Security, the White House, or the teachers union get wind of that, you are going to prison and the kid expelled and sent to reform school.

Ha Ha Ha Ha. That's an interesting looking critter. Don't shoot your eye out like Ralphie. Use it in good health.
