NICE pictures! Thanks for posting them.

On the Isetta - we had a guy in high school who occasionally drove one of those things to school. He must have weighed close to 300 lbs, and it was a treat to watch him get in and out of it. I always thought they would be a bad place to be in a wreck.

I was going to say, how about that M-F 165, would love to learn more about it. very handy size and configuration !

Yes, it is an Isetta. Just after the second World War, it was made by BMW and kept them afloat financially for a number of years while they recovered and began producing high quality cars again.
Did any one recognise the tractor from Mercedes-Benz? Phil

Phil,

Great way for you and your wife to spend weekends!

Love the Lanz Bulldog.

Crazy little red car... don't think you would catch me driving that. Seems kind of like a motorcycle with an extra wheel and a cage.

Very nice pictures. That red car? Looks like a BMW emblem on the front. When I was in high school, a kid I knew had one, but don't recall it being a BMW. Was odd ball though. Front swung open, think the steering wheel folded down.

Nice, nice tractors. Thank yo for sharing. Very nice.

Mark

Great pictures Phil, thanks!
I did see the MB tractor, but I don't recognize it really.
It looks like some of the old Stiegers, color and all.
The cars in the background of the Isetta are also very cool!

I had to go back for a second look before I realized which tractor was the Mercedes. Thanks for the photos, I always enjoy photos from your side of the "Big Pond".

Phil, Wife and I had an Isetta in 1957. Same color. One trip was around 1500 miles from Iowa to Colorado. Included a ride up Pikes Peak.

Lots of fun.

Gordy, I don't think a trip that long would be much fun now in an Isetta. Besides, they are much too valuable to risk on the highway, that little red car is worth about $6-8,000.Phil
