Bought a New Toy Today

I bought me a one bottom subsoiler today for $150.

I've always wanted one and so I ran an ad in the local paper. Received two calls from two people that had one. The man who I bought this from used it to bury wire on his farm. That's what the wheel in the back was used for to hold the roll of wire.

I'm gonna retire the old Little Wonder two bottom plow. I'll paint it up and use it as yard decoration.

I'm not sure of the mfg on this one but there is a number on one of the top links.

What you have there is a Ferguson subsoiler, made for the little grey TO/TE 20s
A very good subsoiler and easily pulled, as it is designed to work with your draft control and thus add traction to the rear wheels.

Yes you could trench a sprinkler line. I plan on running a small shallow trench for a garden hose about 10ft out to our landscaping by the oil road in front of our house. It doesn't leave an open trench. You have to shovel the loose dirt away on the surface.

I have buried electric line with a subsoiler and a box blade with the teeth. Fashion a piece of conduit with a bend pointing backwards. Hook it to the shank hose clamps worked. Feed the wire in as you go. No need to dig.
