Kubota rear main seal replacement

Just wanting to know if you have to split a 25HP Kubota to change the engine rear main seal. I just do not know.

They told me at one dealer it was forty in parts and about a thousand in labor on mine. I was wanting a new one anyway so I traded it in. But I think they did say they had to split it. Mine had just a small drip, I thought about trying some Lucas Sealer on it but traded instead. Good luck with yours.

There's very few tractors that one can R&R engine rear seal without splitting and Kubota isn't one of the few.

Thanks for the comeback. I thought it needed to be split but the tractor belongs to my grand daughter and her husband and I didn't want to tell them wrong.
