ebay problems

I was wondering if anyone else is having trouble with ebay this week. Yesterday in the advanced search it wouldn't let me omit more than a couple of words from the search. Today they listed mostly items the auction had already ended, some as far back as the middle of May.

Sometimes if you google the item you want to find ,that leads to the auction better than eBay search. Once I searched eBay left side Cadillac tail light . None shown . only a few right side. When searching the same thing on google Bingo it leads to a whole page of them on eBay. I can't figure it out .

There was a period of time a few days ago where they had their software restrict search strings to 100 characters or less. So many people complained that they removed the restriction. You longer search should work now.

The bigger disappointment occurred some months ago when they removed "wildcard" searches using an asterik "*". It looks like they're not bringing back that option.

The search results have really started getting bad... such as not returning items which match key words, or returning items which should not. I purchased a thermostat a while back, sorted by lowest price first and then saw a lower priced identical item at the bottom of the page after I had completed the buy it now. They're really starting to frustrate a lot of people. I'm not sure if it's some wet-behind-the-ears marketing major calling the shots or goofy manager making these terrible choices. It's getting easier to Google what you want, but Google has it's issues too. -- rant over --
