The Rabbit Situation

I built some more 8 foot sections of my fence and effectively doubled the coverage of the garden (just gotta keep the rabbits out of the beans as that is all they seem to care for).

But tonight I managed to catch and relocate my first rabbit of the year. In each of the last 4 years I have caught in the area of 7 to 11 rabbits, but there don't seem to be as many this year.

The rabbits and ground hogs are doing a number on the raised beds here in nj.My wife has a rabbit in the back yard she talks to each morning,I set a have a hart trap for the ground hogs,when I leave my wife springs the trap because she doesnt want her bunnie to get in the trap.I guess I have to give up!
 
We have good supply and my beagles in training are loving it. I had to fence my beans and broccoli but so far they have been kept at bay.

Well my early on problem is that squirrels kept getting in the cages. Heck, even caught a couple of birds. But the rabbits have gotten smarter, I guess.
