Spraying With The 2090

Finally some decent spraying weather so i was at it all day. At least 18 road miles and still managed to get a couple of tanks sprayed. Scary to think how much money I have sprayed through that tank in 21 years. I took this shot while parked by the dugout for a refill.

That rig looks good. Do you use the same rig for harrowing and spraying?
Are you guys getting any planting done? Here we are only about half done, We got about 4 inches of rain last weekend and even tiled land has water puddles on it. We won't be moving for a few days yet.

No, this Brandt is strictly a sprayer. The Morris harrow I use has the old Blumhardt spray attachment and tank still on it but have not sprayed with it for years.
No significant rain for a couple of weeks here so planting is done as of June 1 for myself. There is still the odd field around the area not done. I think we are pushing close to the deadline dates for crop insurance coverage.

(quoted from post at 06:28:38 06/06/13) I've got a Versatile sprayer that is that same design. Like to find a Brandt or at least a tank like that. The Versatile has a galvanized tank.
A comparable Versatile to my Brandt would be the model 3000. They were a good heavy duty sprayer with plastic 800 gallon tank. They had more ground clearance than my Brandt but those little wheel barrow wheels on the booms needed upgrading. Those sprayers sell pretty cheap here now. Everybody wants a self propelled (including me).

Ralph;

Glad you are finally getting some good weather to finish planting and finally being able to spray.

Western Ohio has been pretty decent for the past week. Had about 1 inch of rain on Friday evening and dry since. Been a lot of hay made. Raining here today, so having a relaxing day. Just a light sprinkle this morning, but east of us the fields have standing water, so had more rain than here.

Ohio is virtually all planted and growing pretty well. Wheat is mostly headed out and looks normal for this time of year. Oat fields are spotty from the early heavy rains that drowned the lower spots.

Gene , the closest I will get to making hay in the next few days will be if I finally get the lawn tractor out to do the first cutting of the lawn. Just haven't had time to touch it I did take the time to replace the water pump on the 730 Case. Not such a nice job as on the Cockshutt 40 but after fifty years it sure was ready for it.
