Lost Big Brother

I just returned from burying my Older Brother it was a very sad weekend for sure.
we were only 18 months apart and spent most of our early years together doing everything we could think of. we lived on the farm near Loomis, Ca and had a million acres of no mans land to play on. it was great to go where ever we wanted without getting permission or even telling anybody where we were.
any way I tried to tell the story about the Mountain Lion that came to our camp site on the river and walked around all three of us brother John, friend Tom and me. Have you ever had a Lion look you right in the face from about 2 or 3 inches and you didn't know until after you awoke.
anyway i'm still choked up after loosing a great friend and Big Brother who kept out of trouble.

I'm sorry to hear of your loss Walt.
It's never easy to lose a loved one.
I would have been changing clothes after waking up!
I'm glad you can think of the good times.

Sorry to hear about your brother. Have 2 brothers, and we are all in different states now.
Used to do chores together, everyday, all 3 of us slept in same bedroom, wore each other's clothes as hand me downs. We call a lot, try to see each other once a year, but really isn't same. I agree have a lot of Great memories from working together, hunting, fishing, and even some fights. Life is short, we all should take more time for family.

My prayers and sympathy to you and your family for your loss.

Matt

I know how you feel my brother died in 1998 and was only 66. He was married 5 times and that didn't help. He joined the Air Force 3 days after we graduated from high school in 1951. I was drafted in 1953. Hal

I've got 3 brothers and 2 sisters and we're all extremely close.

I don't know what it's like to lose one, but I know how much I fear it. So my heart goes out to you.

Hopefully all those good memories will carry you through this hard time, those never go away and you're a lucky man to have them.

Sorry for your loss.

Reminds us all to stop & smell the roses before it 's too late and to cherish family relationship's.

That's a great memory & a great experience to have shared.

Sorry to hear about your loss, sounds as though you were close and had many great adventures. remember them and share stories with others, I had an aunt that died when she was 6 and uncle that died when he was 13, my dad always told me about them, how they all played together, what they liked to eat, etc.. makes him feel good to tell and I enjoy hearing. He gave me his little brothers (my uncle) axe and I have it hanging in my garage above my tool box, and I tell anyone who asks about it the stories as well
