Ford 841 diesel won't start

I am new to tractors and engines for that matter but here is what I have found.

The tractor acts like it is going to start, not the battery or anything plus I had it on a booster. I can spray starter fluid in it and it started for a second then died. I wasn't sure if that was ok to do so I stopped.

I started investigating the fuel lines and it looks like diesel is getting to the fuel pump? Distributor? One side says in and the other says out. If I unscrew the out bolt it trickels diesel, if I crank with the bolt out it shoots a stream (nothing major but more than not cranking). If I unscrew the bolts where it goes to the distribution tubes no diesel ever comes out cranking ot not.

This tractor ran fine yesterday. Any ideas?

Water in the fuel will cause many problems like that and fuel filters that have water in it will also cause problems. I would start with new filters and go from there
