Cattail herbicide (fish safe) OT

Has anyone found an herbicide to kill cattails in a pond that doesn't kill or hurt fish? I was looking at rural king and it seems that all of their herbicides either didn't kill cattails or could hurt the fish. Thanks for any help!

Aquacide is the name of the company, Aquathol Super K Granular is the product.

Yes my cows eat the young tender plants too, but just the young and tender ones.

This product kills coon tail moss also, really effective and it doesn't take much.

I use a hand held crank type seeder to put it out. I use the Miracle grow and put it on #5 (widest opening). Put some out and wait about a week.

Cat tails will not show much this year. Next year if they come up it will be severely reduced so do it again.

Its called Rodeo, (aquatic glyphosate) and you add an aquatic surfactant usually soybean oil based. Excellent coverage is a must.

It kills slowly, but that means better translocation. Did the pond at work 2 weeks ago and they stopped growing right away but are just now starting to look dead.

They will eventually come back, so treatments are more control than eradication.

Regular RU will do the trick, just use the same effective chemical rate used with Rodeo. I don't use chemical, but never let them get established on a big area. Just cut them down below the water surface after they start heading. Kills 80%. Repeat the following year on the remaining 20% and perhaps the following year on the remaining 4%. Never had to go to the third year.
