I'm trying to get adjusted to Windows 7 again.

Now if I download photos from my camera onto the computer's hard drive, and then attempt to upload them onto a report, or whatever, I get a message that Active X must be installed. The message says to go to the "Information Bar", scroll down to "Active X", and click on install.

Problem is, I can't find an Information Bar.

Does anyone have any suggestions on resolving this?

Thanks in advance.

Goose,

You can turn on allowing "Signed Activex" under your tools menu.

Here's an pic with screen shot and numbered steps of the tabs/buttons that you use to allow it.

OK, since we are on computers, windows 7, why can't I highlight just one picture off my camera card and import it. On Vista I did that all the time. Have some trail cameras and some times have a 1000 pictures in a couple of days. Grandson just built me this new tower and I am learning how to use it. Of course , he is miles and miles away.

Pete 23,

I think you should be able too - unless it is something about a game cam (not familiar with those).

I just made some instructions... will go post them to your attention in a new post.

Hey Goose.

You don't need activex to deal with image files.

Probably the easiest way is to choose files that are in jpg format and save them to a place that you can find i.e. 'libraries-pictures' and give them a name.

When you need the image file use 'browse' and go to the folder and open the file that you want. With most programs that will load the file.

Many problems with images being inserted in print or uploaded to websites is the files are way too big.

An image to be placed on a website say YT cannot be displayed at more than 72ppi. more or less so that 12 megapixel image of a rusty Farmall is about 15 times too large.

Many programs, web based or print will choke on that large of a file.

Hope this helps.... It is a bit of an involved subject

Thanks for the responses

This is a test.
I can upload onto this site, maybe it's the company's problem.
