I didn’t check the PTO clearance on the implement prior to going to the field. At least it was only a $60 mistake. And no that is not an illusion, that sucker it bent. Had to beat it off the end of the PTO shaft with an air hammer.

Don't feel too bad about it.....John Deere made a 3 point drawbar for the 1360 mower conditioner. I bought one brand new. on the first day out I snapped the pto shaft clean off the tractor. The new shaft lasted 1 hour. I mentioned it to my JD dealer and the next morning they arrived with an ordinary drawbar that fits on the tractor pull bar. They had to replace every one of them, the shaft had to slide so far on turning a corner that when under load it had too much friction and put a lot of stress on the tractor shaft, thus snapping it off. They would not pay for the tractor shafts however!
Last deal I had with them!!!!
