OK,so I got my computer back,HP with Windows 7. The monitor goes to sleep alright,but the computer doesn't anymore. The light on the manual off/on switch would turn orange,I'd have to hit the spacebar to wake it up. Now it stays blue all the time. Anybody know how to fix it?
 
I just had all of the virus's and spyware cleaned out and got it home yesterday. They installed a new virus protection program,yes.
 
Thanks. Got it set for one hour. Hope I didn't mess something up. I'll know in about 59 minutes. lol
 
It is too late for my recommended fix, but next time buy an Apple. Microsoft Op system keeps getting worse and worse. The Apple iMac can be operated as a PC also, I use both operating systems but use only MS XP while in PC mode.

PS: I used MS operating systems for years and switched to Apple when Apple installed the Intel chip. Even native PC apps work better on the iMac.
 
I just got a new computer with windows 7. I noticed it won't go to sleep when I leave a web site up and walk away. Haven't had it but a few days so not real familiar with the system. Had Vista for 6 years. My grandson built the computer and I guess he thought that would be the easiest system for me to go to from Vista although he is an Apple kind of guy.
