144 sprayer valve problem anyone with experience

Have a 144 valve on Top Air sprayer that does not seem to fully open. I just replaced this a couple of weeks ago. It is not putting out enough spray. Would atrazine cause this to malfunction?
 
I have been having trouble with the electric valves on my sprayer also. My left boom valve would turn on but not all the way. I could see a difference looking back. I traded it with the left foamer valve and cured the problem for a while. I was just running 20 lb. pressure on the boom, but the foamer was 40 psi. But eventually the foamer slowed down also. I'm not sure part of the problem wasn't not enough electric, to the valves. Another new valve and cleaning the plug-ins and everything seems to be OK. Vic
 
Atrazine will cause your strainer to plug, which can lower your flow. This is even worse if you let atrazine set in your sprayer for a few days.

Try to agitate the mix every day if you don"t empty the sprayer after use.

Not saying you don"t have a valve acting up as well.

If you're gonna let your sprayer set a day or two with product in it mix in a box or two of Baking Soda and agitate it thru the system. When I worked for the local fertilizer company years ago this is what the reps told us to do and it worked. If you ever brush your teeth with baking soda you'll see what it does...
 
The absolute best thing you can do is order a set of electronic ball valves. I have a Top Air 750 sprayer that had the 144 valves on it and it seemed like I was constantly working on them. I had the same problem that you are having. There was always one that didnt seem to open all the way or would open then slowly close as you went across the field. I changed to the 450 series ball valves last year and haven't had a minutes trouble with them. They seem high but I believe they will easily pay for themselves.
