Want to fix A/C on 1070 case ,, But wifey wants A/conditioning fixed 1st in our 96 Crown Vic,, it was cooling ok ,, but I noticed it was cycling on and off a lot ,,and the clutch started making more and more noise ,, i could see intermittent sparks flying off the clutch hub on the ac compressor ,,Does Anyone Know IF ,parts areavailable ,,it easy to replace the clutch , theres a lot of room under there to work , i,,dont want to pump down the system to change compressors,, . ,,

Parts are about 89 bucks plus shipping at rockauto for the clutch. If I remember right, make sure the snout on that compressor is still in good shape, they where prone to wearing and even a new clutch, coil setup would wobble and not last.

the accumulators are a common leak point, which causes the clutch to cycle off and on quickly and wear fast, if you catch it soon enough you can save the compressor. If it goes too long, the bearing in the pulley fails and destroys the nose of the compressor.

You might as well take it apart and replace all the o-rings at the fittings. Use green o-rings for replacements if the old ones are black.
