For the brain trust.
What can I use to KILL viginia creeper.I have tried round up Tough Brush Killer and it slow's it down but will not get it all.This stuff is in my wifes black berries so I have to be carefull.Any help you can give me will be very much appreciated.
 
I wait 'till it rains, then uproot it from my raspberries. No problem when the ground is wet.
 
To apply chemicials around berries here is a simple way. Just use regular Roundup at a 50% mixed rate. Just mix up a gallon or so in a small bucket. Then put a GOOD rubber glove on your hand. Then put a cotton glove over the rubber glove. Then just dip your fingers into the mix. Then just touch the leaves on the plants you want killed among the berries. You are just using the glove like a weed wick.

A commercial grower showed me this trick years ago in his straw berries. It is simple and cheap way to control weed in tender plants.
 
Untangle the vine and lay it on a piece of plastic. Spray the vine with roundup. Leave the plant undisturbed for 3 days after applying.

After 3 days cut the vine off just above the ground and quickly paint the cut end with pure roundup.

Watch and wait. If it still tries to sprout paint the new leaves with roundup and repeat above.

It is tough to get rid of but if you stay after it you can get it done.
 
I have not tried it myself, but I have heard folks talking about snipping the end of a vine and sticking it into a bottle of glyphosate. They say the plant draws the chemical in and it goes throughout the plant through the its own vascular system and kills the whole thing. Has anyone here tried that method? I have heard it mentioned for lots of types of vines, not just Virginia Creeper.
 
Thank you for all the info and I will try your suggestions. I will try them to see which ones work the best and then go from there.
