AC 190xt oil gauge

The AC 190xt I just purchased has the standard "idiot" oil light. I would like to install an oil gauge instead. Is this possible? I see several plugs on the side of the block that could be possibly accessed or can the oil light sensing unit be romoved and a gauge line installed in that port?
Also, can a universal gauge be used? I see from a few suppliers that gauges with the "Allis Chalmers" logo are available specifically for the 190xt model.

Thank you.

You should be able to install a "T" in the port that has the oil light sensor, then reinstall the light sensor in the "T". Use the other port of the "T" to feed a gage, which can be a universal type if you want to save a few bucks. That way you'll have both the light and the gage. An idiot light doesn't give much indication of actual oil pressure, but it does catch your eye.
