Just some random pics, the pick up truck belongs to my sil. Hot and very humid today - we were gone about 4 hours - during that time my sweet corn popped up. 50% chance for rain tomo.

Dave, I live in Kearney and have acreage north of Lathrop. My wife has family in and around Lathrop. I grew up in Ohio and moved to MO in 1985. How's Oregon these days? I used to hunt Riverbreaks State Forest and stayed in the state owned cabins at Big Lake. Eat in Oregon or Forest City Diner. Back then population of Oregon about 900 and Forest City about 400. Been a good 15 years since I have been up there.

Not many buisiness's left in Forest City, Diner is still there though. Wife and I bought the restuaraunt in Oregon 5 years ago and its called The 275 Grill. We have one of the best Tenderloin Sandwiches around so if you are up our way stop in. We usally try to get to Lathrop for the tractor and engines show. We have antique JD tractors and we also garden tractor pull. Oregon has dropped back to around 850 people I believe. Still alot of hunting in the area. Dave

Which little town up there had a rest. made out of the old bank building? Think it was called "The Mint". Ins. agent named Ben Kneale took me there. He has passed on now.

I use to do a good bit of crop ins. work up there.
