Corn presale?

I was contacted by a man a few days ago who wants to buy my corn this fall.He is offering $11.00 cwt.He wants 90 ton.He also wants a 'bunch' of nongmo corn as well.He's offering 13/cwt.How does that compete?how is the future market? ideas? This could turn into a LARGE market for all the nongmo that I can produce....Thanks,Steve

I'm used to dollars per bu, so are you talking corn silage?

Roughly $6.50 for the non GMO stuff and $7.65 for the GMO For fall delivery, that's about a buck and 2 bucks over the current October bid in eastern Iowa. Also amounts to 3200 bushels. Not a bad deal at the moment. Have another dry summer and you'll be giving up a couple bucks. I'd for sure get the numbers on paper. If we have a good year, he might want to back out of $6.50 corn if he can buy off the market at $4.50

No.Here in Western Colorado,Grain is sold in hundredweights,not bushels.
