lost a neighbor Be careful using your tractor

We lost a long time friend and neighbor last evening to a tractor rollover. My son is a volunteer fireman and was the first one on the scene. He didn't get a whole lot of sleep last night and can't get the picture out of his mind yet this morning. One of the gut wrenching parts about being a fireman in a small close knit community is responding to calls like this. I pray for his family.

So be careful out there. It can happen so fast. Jim

Small dept. and when you go 9 times out of 10 you know who it is, makes it tough for everyone involved I've had the same thing and it never gets easier. Even worse when you get there and it's family involved.

sad, sorry to hear it, however; on another note
wife's great uncle, 101 years old, yes 101, died
this past weekend. guess what he was doing?
attaching his bushog to his tractor. this was a 3
year old kubota that he brought new. his joke was;
he financed it for 15 years. encouraged by family
to work less he would reply, the day i sit down is
when i die so he died doing what he loved.

fixerupper,

Will pray for your neighbors for their loss of a loved one.

Will pray for your son too - that has to be very hard to deal with. Thank him for serving his community. People like him are special - volunteer firefighters/EMTs are vital to rural communities.

Sorry to hear the loss of your neighbor and friend Jim.

I know it's hard for you son also. We hope that he will learn to cope with what he saw. We're not use to seeing such tragedies.

Narrow front with a loader rolled over. In respect for my neighbor and his family I won't get into details. Jim
