Got a call about a Super C that someone is trying to sell. It has a leak problem that is supposed to be a freeze plug that is located in front clutch. Tractor would have to be split to get to. Can someone tell me where all of freeze plugs are at on a Super c. In front of the clutch sounds strange to me. Thanks.

It's not a "bad" tractor to split. Would be a good time to replace the clutch and throw out bearing, and get another 25 years out of the drivetrain.

Thats the only one in the block. The plug to tight of it is for the camshaft when it was bored for the cam its not a freeze plug. You will be able to see the freeze plug when you get it split.

There are two welch plugs behind the flywheel at the back of the engine. One is behind the camshaft, the other is a water passage plug. Both plugs are available from your Case IH dealer. But the camshaft plug shouldn't rust out. Split the tractor, remove the flywheel, and change the water plug.

After you replace the freeze plug put some silicone sealer around it. Just as a security reason.
Since you have the tractor split, I would replace the clutch disc, throw out bearing and probably the rear main seal. No need to just replace the leaky plug then a year later split it again and replace something else in there that could of been replaced now.

When you have the freeze plug removed would be a good time to flush the cooling system with a garden hose. There will probably be a lot of sediment in there.
