S.S lost Card update

well first of all I dont carry it around ,I had to have 2 forms of I.D.for insurance at work,D.L. and S.S. or passport I dont have a passport,I told them my # but they said they have to see the card,guess things have changed, now I have to figure out how to get a passport or ss card,I'm a white male that has lived in this country for my whole life 51 years.
 
One of the things I found out about moving to Iowa, you can get elected President of the USA without showing your birth certificate but you can't get an Iowa driver's license without showing your birth certificate and a SS card. Both are back in Wisconsin somewhere. Had to order a copy of my Birth certificate from Illinois (all I needed to do was send them money, a completed form and a copy of my Wisconsin driver's license) for the SS card I went to their office and showed them my Wisconsin Driver's license. The folks there were friendly, helpful and pretty easy to deal with, wasn't expecting that. It was easier to get a concealed carry permit than the darn driver's license!
 
If you got o a SS office to get forms or anything, be prepared to be accosted by a little nazi rent a cop that will go nuts if you have any deadly weapons like a screw driver or vice grips on you.

That's not always the case. If you're drawing a survivor's benefit, the n umber on your Medicare card will be the SS number of the account you're drawing on. For example, since my mom never worked outside the home, the number on her Medicare card is actually DAD's SS number.

I sold Medicare Advantage insurance in the past, and this is one of the things I had to know in order to enroll a client.
