O/T, Small Battery Box

Does anyone know of a source for a small battery
box, for the batterys used on riding mowers,etc ?
I am using a 12 volt utility sized battery, and
250 watt inverter to power the clock drive on a
10 inch reflecter telescope.

I'd suggest using a "tupperware" type box, as it would probably be cheaper.

Try etrailer.com, and type "battery box" into the search box. I purchased one from them for the battery for the breakaway system on my trailer; it was only $10, and works well.

WW has boat battery boxes which are sized to 24 and 27 battery sizes. Come with 2 straps and 2 clips you can screw down to whatever and hold it in place.

I don't think you really want 'Well sealed' for a battery box. At least not for a lead acid type. Tough is good though!

i get mine from a electric wheel chair repair place -- all different sizes i can send you one for the price of the freight plus a 5 for the nonprofit org. it helps keep the doors open its all volunteer labor-- drop me an e-mail - i need to know the size of your batt. -- Roy

Being sealed allows the owner to vent it as needed. which also means the need for wires in and out. Jim
