1940's Castelli Murray Pedal Tractor** not chain driven

I have a 1940's Castelli Murray pedal tractor, it is not a chain driven model! It has all of its parts and is in excellent shape. We are trying to restore the paint to bring it back to life! We did not have to replace any parts, it is not damaged in any way besides no longer having hardly any paint to it! We really don't know to much about it except the color looks to have been a yellowish orange! We do not want to restore the paint unless we can get the exact color that it was built with! Can anyone please help with any information on the color or how much they are even worth, that would be great! We are at a stand still until we can find that color!

Thanks!
Missy

Colors and paint schemes are important. If you ask Kim (ytmag moderator) on the Feed back forum, Just above the Facebook tag to the left, she will give you posting permission. This process for new posters is to keep inappropriate images off of the site. THe tractor might be generic, or it might be a brand or model with a specific "livery". Several tractor brands have been yellowish orange including Alis Chalmers, and Minneapolis Moline It will be interesting. Jim

Good point. If worth is important work cloths are very desirable. If that is not the intention, correct color is better than wrong. If it is to be given to a child, looking fresh might be best. Jim

Thank you for taking the time to help! I was just wondering what they sell for, I am not going to sell it! We love it! And it is in excellent shape besides the paint being gone! We are trying to restore it for my parents and yes I'm sure the grand kids will ride every now and then.. I have already repainted the black and it looks perfect.. Just need to figure out its body color. It used to say castelli on the side in the one old picture but I don't know if that was painted on or a sticker.. I am assuming painted because in the old pic the color is gone off theirs as well but you can see the lettering perfectly.. Idk.. It seams to be very hard finding the color!

Oh and I am still trying to figure this whole site out with messaging, so thanks for the help!
