OT, Lost a pet today

Sad day here, Bud the cat had to be put to sleep today. Wife took him to the vet yesterday, he had been loosing weight and not himself. Seemed very weak. They determined he had diabetes, and another diases I cant remember the name for. The steroids needed for the second condition would not work with him being diabetic. Bud was 13 years old. Gonna miss the fury feller. He was a good cat. In his younger days, he could climb the old wooden ladders in the bank barn better than I could......and come down them just as fast. R.I.P. my friend.
 
It never gets easier. Been through all sorts of cats and dogs. Last cat we lost lived to the ripe old age of 18 1/2 years!!
 
Sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. When you do just about everything possible it is time to say good by.Like others have said it never gets easy. We have a graveyard full of our cat friends. Just remember the happy times with your cat. Stan
 
Really sorry for your loss, I lost my cat march of 12, I found this cat April of 13 she has been great so far, sorry for sideways pic,,I can't get her to stand still long enought for another pic!

We had a cat that was 21+ years old when it gave up the ghost. I remember it when I was just a little kid. Kind of like an end of an era when she died. :(
