Gas price jump

Seems like in the last week gas prices have gone up by 50-75 cents. Price just a week ago was $3.239 but yesterday it was $3.839. Guess it is that time of year again and the Holiday that is coming up

Went from 3.59 to 4.09 in three days here. Claim too many refineries
shut down. According to news media some stations in Fargo have closed due to shortages.

Reports are that two big refineries near Chicago are both down for maintenance at the same time. There are scheduled to be back on line in six more weeks and prices "should" return to normal after that.

In central Minnesota gas jumped from 3.77 to 4.29 to 4.35 in the last 3 days. It was 3.29 seven weeks ago at Easter. It all it smells like a manufactured crisis to me, but what do I know, that's just free enterprise at work I guess.

Here in almost central mo, two weeks ago it was 3.29, then 3.39 3.45, 3.55 and day before yesterday, jumped to 3.68.

Same 'maintenance' issue in Tulsa. I know they need maintenance, and believe they intentionally schedule it for the peak travel period of the year.

That way the company's revenue doesn't drop when reducing output. The price rise makes up for the volume drop.

Smart business, but I still don't like it!

Here in Southern Minnesota priced jumped from $3.85 to $4 one day, next day from $4 to $4.20. This was just this week. This really hurts.

On my end of SC the local stations have been holding at $3.17 - $3.20 for a little over a week. Diesel has been $3.45 at one station for over 2 weeks at one station and around that most other places Ive been by.

I never heard of Ill refinaries doing this. Its a good way to get peoples attention away from IRS snooping in your med records and other crimes.

Gas went up here also, western Wisconsin, and
Chicago refineries got the blame...but... gas
for this area is "Supposed" to come from Superior
Wisconsin, or South St Paul Minnesota.

Gone up about 40 cents in the past week here- and we have nothing to do with Illinois refineries for supply. Its a commie plot.

I always heard that a cloud passes over Houston the gas prices go up just in case---case of what they don't say.

I gassed up this morning, $3.48. Went by another station in town $3.89. I bought 31 gallons and saved $.41/gallon. Didn't know gas was jumping either, my lucky day.

I went to gas buddy wed site and looked at the gas price map. Looks like the prices have spiked in the mid-west/central plains. Seems like the prices may going up due to planting season. IMHO.

The local radio said gas price was about to jump by as much as 40 cents. Wife hurried to fill the car, she said while she was there the digital sign by the highway went up 31 cents. She looked at her pump's price, at least it didn't go up while she had the pump going.

Down here within the last few days it dropped from 3.40's to 3.20's. Also every town has it's locked in rates.

Just a couple months ago they were predecting gas would be near $3.00 or maybe a little lower at this time. The only solution I guess is to buy oil stock, only wait till it goes down.

Gas is $3.58 here, on road diesel,$3.99 off road $3.55 . I hope it doesn't jump up like it did in your area.

Monday, I noticed diesel fuel was cheaper than gasoline. 87 Octane. Haven"t seen this in a long time. KC Area.

Jumped here in Michigan too. Local TV showed a interview with the director of gasbuddy.com. He said there were several refineries down for repair/renovation all at the same time. I think there's more to it thant that. Upcoming holiday weekend?

I saw a billboard at a full service filling station, don't remember name or location this week. Diesel was in fact lower than 87.
