Golf Cart Batteries?

L-ion batteries. Has anyone tried them? My cart has
36 volt and 6-6 volt 105 Trojan's. It is a 09 model
and will just go 1/2 as far as it usted to. Yes they
are full of distilled water. None of the connections
are even getting warm. What batteries would you put
in it? Thanks Vic

There is a lot of information here, the last time I looked ,they said stay with Trojans

4-6 years on golf cart batteries is about normal...i haven't seen anything last longer than wet cell Trojan's.

i once had an ezgo 36v that i replaced the 6-6v trojans with 3-12v gel-filled batteries from a ups system. they worked great, never leaked and 3 years later when i sold the cart they were still going strong. my current 04 ezgo came with its orginial trojans which failed one at a time starting 2 years ago. finally replace the last two this spring. all were replaced with a non-labeled battery (made by trojan)12v wet cell with good results. mine cost $99 each versus $169 for the trojans.

Have you priced Li-Ion batteries? You can get a whole new cart for what they'd cost.
