Ran into a tree

Was mowing today again. There were trees right next to a bussy road. I went between two trees, and turned in the road back through two more trees. I was going a litle fast, as I didn't want to be in the road too long. I turned too sharp, and hit one of the trees dead on. I was expecting to see my sheet metal all bent up, but my JD 401 industrial has a pipe bumper that covers the front end. No damage was found. Next time I will back in between the trees. Another lesson learned. Stan

You can make a bumper and put one on just about any vehicle. You mean you've never seen those little red or gray bumpers on an 8N or a Ferguson?

Back in the 1950's REAL farmers would laugh at the wannabees who put bumpers on tractors. Now it is a critical part on utility tractors

I've built quite a few tractor bumpers for people over the years. Most were put on after the grill was smashed. The newer compact tractors with the plastic noses are the worst
