Tractor's back in one piece

I got the White 2-135 back together. New clutch, pilot bearing, throwout bearing, rear main seal, mainfold gaskets and quad ring in the steering unit. Could have been worse,at least you don't have to split those to put a clutch in. Still,I hope I never have to do that job again!

No split? Dang, another thing I learned today!
Glad you got it back together without too much trouble.
Should be about time to get out there, so good timing too.

I was just wondering were u were, I dident think u posted in awhile, maybe I missed any of your posts. Glad you got it back together. My friend has a 2-85 wonder if the clutch can be replaced the same way? Not splitting it is a big time savings!

Ya,they can be changed without splitting too. And a whole bunch easier. That 354 Perkins is a lot lighter than the 478 Hercules.

Ya I was already out there. Disced my oat ground better than a week ago and it went out. Had to finish up with one of the Olivers, but I got the oats finished up last Sunday.
I'd have liked to have been hauling manure and working corn ground all week, but I hauled for a day and a half. Spent the rest of the week tearing down, chasing parts and putting back together.

The facing was gone off the buttons. Don't know why that made the pedal feel like it did. I had to adjust the linkage of course after I got this one in,but the pedal feels normal again.

I had the flywheel and pressure plate resurfaced. I don't quite know what the deal was with that. They called me and said the pressure plate was done but they couldn't do the flywheel. Said somebody had taken it down a hundred thousandths once before and they didn't like to go more than twenty. Said I'd loose too much pressure in the springs. When the boy brought it home they had done it though. Don't know if he had a momentary brain fart and didn't realize taking the step down the same distance would cure that problem or what? I wouldn't think so,being the darned good pros that they are. No sarcasm there either. It's like new all the way through now anyway.
