Classic trucks at tractor show

A new club has formed in Northern Ireland based on vintage and classic trucks and commercials. Membership is already strong and the turn-out at Shanes Castle was very good. I have already posted some pics of Macks and a Kenworth that you may recognise, but here are some of the trucks that we used to see hauling our produce all over the country....You will see how some truckers have fitted living vans on their trucks especailly for staying over at the various shows. These pics were taken by my 10 yearold son, John!

I enjoyed these photos and hope that you have more to post. I know of a few other European nameplates that I did not see here. I enjoy them all!

I like that green Bedford ! (Brian Grant on roof) Looks like one of our Reo's in the '50's !!

Love the pictures Sam, thanks again for posting them!
Thank John for me too, he did a great job!

There used to be a lot of Fords like the one in the second pic here. At least it looks like the Cargo. I was describing one to someone recently but he couldn't remember ever seeing one. Apparently they still build them in Turkey because when my wife and I were there a few years ago I saw a bunch of new ones.

Just curious. What is the purpose of the round extensions showing on front wheels of some of the trucks? Is it to protect lug bolts.
