Brakes on my JD 2640

I am having brake trouble on my JD 2640,the left brake works and the right brake goes all the way down and if you press both pedals at the same time they both go all the way down could someone give me some advice on how to fix them?
 
The brakes on JD utility tractors aren't true hyd operated such as the RC tractors. The trans pump simply fills the brake valve through a tiny hole. Then the brakes are manually hyd operated. After trying to bleed any air out if no success then put a cap on the RH brake line and see if pedal will pump up. If pedal pumps up then problem is a blown oring on piston in axle housing. If pedal doesn't pump up then the valve body needs some valves replaced.

I would bet that it is the brake valve. In Tx jim's post he has the brake valve parts break down. The little check balls and springs quit holding and then the brakes will not work. It is real simple to repair just make sure and adjust it correctly going back together. You have to have the brake pedals on the valve to adjust it also.
 
You have to power bleed those by loosening the fitting and running a hose into the return then hold the pedal down until clear oil runs and then close the bleeder and be careful as the pedal will come up !

Now I had one of those do that and after bleeding it problem returned next day,then after rebuilding brake valve it returned then into the o-ring packings on the brake pistons and that got it.

I think you must be thinking of brakes on something other than a JD utility tractor. One can not "power bleed" this valve because there is high pressure oil supply.
