ok i sold my dodge diesel as i got tired of the body parts falling off of it at 250,000 miles, the 88 gmc perked up and decided to break down-every day, yesterday it was the extension housing seal on the transfer case, which i changed out on the side of the road,[ that was real fun] today its the right rear turn signal, now, bulbs are new, i do have power to the plug where it plugs into the plastic piece that holds the bulbs, which is also new, but no flashing bulbs just fast flashing on the front which are all working the running light in this same pod works as does the backup lite, where do i go next?im thinking bad ground, but where does that get a ground, and if thats it why do the running and backup lites work? i need this truck in the am, and im still going to have to put in a new u- joint i found bad yesterday tonite

The ground is on the left frame, about 18" forward from the back end.

Those circuit boards are troublesome; fairly cheap to replace tho.

thanks Allan, ill go check that, you mean the circuit board in the lite itself? i just bought new ones, as it had the problem before and i thought it was the worn sockets for the 1157 bulbs so the new ones i got use the push in 3157 type, i thought that would have it fixed, but nooo.... lol

I think he means the circuit board under the steering wheel where all the turn signal and brake light wiring is.

this turned out to be the circuit board in the tail lite, which was about 2 weeks old, couldnt see exactly what was wrong, when i took it apart but another new one fixed it, just love cheap china made junk
