value of ih cadet 282 (red)

I have a 282 cadet it is in very good condition
would like to know the value of this lawn tractor
it's vintage is from 1979-1981.

Not much. It's a lawn tractor - not a garden tractor. Good one is probably in the $300 range, non running but complete - $50.

Don't know about a 282, but the red 682s and 782s are $1200 - $1400 if in excellent shape. A 782 with 50 in hydraulic deck brought $1250 and a 782 with chrome hubcaps and three-point brought $1400. I guess a diesel 7 or 982 would even bring more.

There's a newer one on tractor house for $1,950. There's also a restored 1963 of unknown model number, 16 hp, for the same price and a '73 109, 10 hp for $595.

I have to agree yours wouldn't bring too much, maybe $3-500 (?)
