How to align front and rear width on 4wd tractor

I have a Massey Ferguson 461 MWD tractor and am trying to get the front and rear widths set correctly. On my two wheel drive tractors the manuals show how to correctly set them as both the front and rear match up perfectly. My question is are the fronts and rears suppose to be the same width? If so I'm confused as my MF manual shows them being close but not exact. For example if I set the front at 56" wide then the closest I can get the rears is 60". Any clarification on this would be greatly appreciated.

IIRC, they are supposed to be close but mabey 4" narrower is quite acceptable for moldboard plowing. Outside of that... I wouldn't worry about it.

The inside of the tires are supposed to be the same measurement
but I had as good luck with the fronts about 3 inches narrower as 3"
wider. Its really about how much steering correction you want to be
doing while plowing. If its right on it will track the furrow well.
