Need some help. I need to determine a fair price on what I believe is an 841 Ford tractor, not running, motor not stuck, but with what I think are factory duals, and a mid mount Ford loader. No pictures, camera broke. The woman is 70 years, and health is failing. Just want to be fair to both of us. Thanks in advance. Gary

841 would have a 4 speed. Best way to know for sure what it is is look at the serial numbers and model number. Look just behind the starter there is 2 bolt holes there. On the flat area above those bolt holes you will find both the model and serial numbers. If an 841 should look something like my example.
8 4 1
^%*$^%*&
As for price not running nothing more then a grand and that is high but the loader and duals bring it up some. Non running you never know if it is a money pit or a simple fix

Two big factors are location and condition of the tires. Some guys automatically call a non-running Ford that size a $500 tractor...yet the one in the pictures sold for $1525 this past weekend near me. (I thought that was about 2x what it was worth) Loader could add $300-400.

Ya sad thing is a lot of times at an auction a person buys something and pays 2-3 times what it is worth not knowing what things sell for. !500 for what you pictured is crazy unless it ran well and had papers saying the engine was rebuilt. Still remember the auction where a guy got a Lincoln Buzz box AC welder and he payed something like $250 for it and back then you could buy them all day long for $125 new guy even bragged how good a buy he got till I told him what one sold for new and then he got mad

It is quite a distance away. So too difficult to get another look. But reasonably sure now it may be an 801. Also it ran when parked, they just quit using it. From a good local source, salvage around here is
$700-$800, so with this info I have a good place to start. THANKS TO ALL. Gary
