I went to an auction yesterday where there was 25 Minneapolis Moline tractors. A Vista G1000 went for $10K and it wasn"t running. It did run for 10 seconds and then stopped.....a pump problem was speculated. The rear rims had severe rust around the valve stems. Someone did a poor job of repainting, but it was still a handsome tractor and no shortage of bidders.

We were at the same auction. Lakeshore, Ontario right? I opened bidding on the Vista but quit pretty quick. In all honesty based on the prices I have seen so far this spring, I expected it to go a little higher.

rustred, where abouts are you located? If that is a $1500 tractor in your area, can you keep your eye out for me on any that are for sale? Vista or regular G1000, doesn't matter.
The auction was in Lakeshore, Ontario (near Windsor across from »Detroit MI. There were 4 1000 s (1) Vista $10000 (2) G1000 Propane around $6000 I think (3) G1000 not bad shape $6700 (4) G1000 parts tractor $1100. There no cabs on these but there was a cab tractor...maybe the 902. Three diesels and one propane.

yep was at an auction last june and a massey 97 went around a 1000.00. and the vista 1000 went for less than 2000.00 . and looked ok but either one not started started as not used for a few years. owner said they were in running order. this is in alberta canada. they are not a high priced tractor here.

That propane sold for $5100, which I thought was reasonable. I bid the diesel up to $6000 and then quit, thought it was already over what it was worth. Will just keep looking I guess, although it would have been nice to pick up a G1000 close to home. Rustred, that is amazing to me. Easily $5k or higher tractors here in Ontario. If you find any like you describe for sale, please let me know. Although I'm guessing the western tractors won't have 3PTH?
