Hanesville woods

Have any of you truckers ever drove on that stretch of road up in Maine that has never ever seen a smile?
In my truck driving days I have been in every state except Alaska, Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont, I didn't drive a truck in Hawai,but wuz there in the Army.

Been up that road many times.Before it was rebuilt it was a BAD road.

Been through there many time myself. Yes the road has been rebuilt, but it still ain't a great road. Heard many tails from my father about it from back before the interstate was built, and that was THE road.

I've traveled many of Maine's back roads, and there are some real interesting ones in a truck. One that sticks in my mind was along the coast. Crested a hill, and all you could see over the hood was ocean. The road dipped down and turned, but you couldn't see which way over the hood.
